Sponsored Charity Walk From The Kwame Nkrumah Circle

Last year in December 2010, our visionary ‘Friends’, Nestlé Ghana and Nestlé Nutrition partnered with Little Angels Trust for much-needed renovations of the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital Children’s Block in Accra-Ghana.

This transformation has made an incredible difference to the lives of all who visit the hospital including patients and their families, hospital staff and visitors.

It started with a leak on the third floor and after investigations, the roof which was at the end of its useful life, urgently had to be replaced.

The rest of the main three floors of the Children’s block without doubt were desperately in need of an updrade. We owe it to our ‘Friends’, Nestle’ Ghana for coming to our aid to improve and transform the environment for our sick children. A well improved atmosphere indeed.

So this Christmas we aim to commemorate the extensive work and major refurbishments of the Children’s Block as part of our annual Christmas program with:

***A sponsored Charity walk from the Kwame Nkrumah Circle to the Children’s Block just like last year with nurses, matrons, doctors and specialists from the hospital and staff members from Nestle’ Ghana, Ministry of Health, the Minister for children’s affairs and a day full of activities and fun for all children on admission to cherish forever.
