On the evening of 30th November, Little Angels Trust marked two decades of service to Ghana's children with a memorable gala celebration. The event brought together our steadfast supporters, healthcare partners, and dedicated team members who have been instrumental in our journey since 2004.
In the heart of Princess Marie Louise Hospital, Accra, lies a special sanctuary that honours the memory of our cherished partner, Adrian Okine. This newly refurbished room serves a vital purpose - providing a peaceful haven for mothers whose babies are receiving care in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
Through the generous donation of Furnart, led by CEO Madam Opeibea Omaboe, the sanctuary has been transformed with comfortable lounge furniture, creating a welcoming space where mothers can rest and recharge between feeding times. This thoughtful contribution recognises the challenging journey of NICU parents, who spend long hours supporting their little ones through critical care.
The Adrian Okine Sanctuary embodies our late partner's compassionate vision, understanding that caring for sick children means supporting their caregivers too. Here, mothers find a quiet moment to rest without being far from their babies, maintaining the crucial bond between feeds and care routines.
This dedicated space within Princess Marie Louise Hospital represents more than just a room - it's a testament to how Little Angels Trust, together with partners like Furnart, continues to identify and meet the real needs of families facing medical challenges. Adrian's legacy lives on in this sanctuary, offering comfort to mothers during one of their most challenging times.
We remain deeply grateful to Madam Opeibea Omaboe and Furnart for their generous contribution, and to Adrian Okine, whose spirit of caring continues to inspire positive changes in children's healthcare.
