In a remarkable fusion of art and philanthropy at our 20th anniversary gala, renowned Ghanaian sculptor, educator and entrepreneur Constance Swaniker demonstrated the power of creativity in supporting children's healthcare. Her donated sculpture, a masterpiece reflecting her exceptional artistic vision, became a highlight of our fundraising efforts.
The evening took an inspiring turn when Hon. Shirley Ayorkor Botchway stepped forward with a generous bid for the sculpture. This significant contribution will directly support the treatment and care of children battling cancer and mental health challenges at our partner hospitals.
Constance Swaniker, founder and CEO of Accent & Arts and the Design and Technical Institute (DTI), has long been celebrated for her contributions to Ghana's art and education sectors. Through this donation, she has now extended her impact into healthcare, showing how art can be a powerful catalyst for change.
The funds raised from this singular piece of art will help provide essential medical care, bringing hope and healing to families facing challenging times. This collaboration between one of Ghana's leading artists and a prominent public servant exemplifies the community spirit that has sustained Little Angels Trust's mission for two decades. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to both Constance Swaniker and Hon. Shirley Ayorkor Botchway for their roles in transforming art into action for children's healthcare.
