At Little Angels Trust, every child’s story is a testament to courage, hope, and resilience. For over two decades, our charity has walked alongside children battling cancer and mental health challenges, offering support, comfort, and the assurance that they are not alone. From hospital beds to homes, our mission has always been to stand in the gap—filling it with love, care, and dignity.
Today, we are thrilled to introduce a new chapter in our journey of impact—the Wish Project. This initiative is rooted in our unwavering belief that children, even in the midst of illness, deserve to experience joy, choice, and the power of possibility. This project will create magical moments for the brave children we support by helping fulfill their personal wishes—whether small or grand, simple or symbolic.
To launch this meaningful project, we are starting with Jonathan, one of five children currently sponsored by Little Angels Trust. Jonathan is a bright, sweet boy living with his family and courageously battling cancer. Over the past few months, we have not only supported him medically and emotionally, but also witnessed firsthand how his strength continues to inspire everyone around him.
Jonathan’s recent progress has been incredibly encouraging. He has been in good spirits and is responding positively to treatment. He smiles more, engages more, and is beginning to imagine life beyond the hospital. His family—particularly his older sister—has been a pillar of love and support, providing us with regular updates and helping us understand Jonathan’s unique needs and dreams.
When we shared our idea of the Make-A-Wish Project with his family, they were deeply moved and eager to participate. When asked what would bring him joy right now, Jonathan shared a few simple wishes: • A football, because he misses playing outdoors • A toy car, because he loves anything with wheels • Coloring pencils and books, because he enjoys drawing and being creative • A tablet, to watch cartoons and educational videos at home during recovery These items may seem modest, but to a child like Jonathan, they represent the world—joy, normalcy, and the freedom to simply be a child again.
We believe that wishes like Jonathan’s deserve to come true. They restore dignity, spark joy, and offer a sense of agency to children whose lives are otherwise filled with medical routines and hospital walls.
Through the Make-A-Wish Project, we hope to make this kind of experience a long-term tradition at Little Angels Trust—one that grows with the charity and evolves to reach more children across Ghana and beyond. Our dream is to invite individuals, families, sponsors, schools, and businesses to support us in fulfilling these wishes. Each act of kindness—no matter the size—can bring immeasurable joy to a child’s life.
Jonathan’s story is just the beginning. As we continue to care for children at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, Princess Marie Louise Children’s Hospital, Cape Coast General Hospital, Mamobi General Hospital, and Accra Psychiatric Hospital, we are reminded daily that these young warriors need more than medicine—they need moments of magic too.
We invite you to be part of this journey. Help us make dreams come true. Help us give children like Jonathan something to look forward to. Because sometimes, the smallest wishes have the biggest impact.
Let’s start with one wish—Jonathan’s—and keep the magic going.
